Looking at the Property Business in the Middle of a Pandemic
The corona pandemic that never ends makes people forced to coexist with the virus. But inevitably, not alllines can come to terms with living life with this virus. One of them,the business line of the property sector whose performance plummeted due to the lack of business movement in the middle of the pandemic. Bank Indonesia survey results stated that the Residential Property Price Index (IHPR) in the first quarter of 2020 slowed by 1.68 percent, lower than the previous quarter of 1.77 percent and the same period last year of 2.06 percent. For sales, it recorded a sharp decline in the first quarter of 2020 of -43.19 percent yoy for residential properties. This figure is much lower than the previous quarter which grew despite only 1.19 percent . Asfor, the decline occurred across all types of houses.
